Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Caboodle. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them, and our Privacy Policy, carefully.
1. The service
Caboodle lets you catalog items you own, share them with people you choose, and lend and borrow among friends. Cataloging and sharing are free today. The Depot, our storage service, is not open yet; when it opens, the terms for it are added here before you can book anything.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Caboodle.
- Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
Your catalog is yours to fill. Once the Depot opens, we will not accept for pickup, storage or transport:
- Illegal items, stolen goods, or anything you don't have the right to store;
- Hazardous, perishable, flammable, or living things;
- Firearms, explosives, or regulated substances.
We may refuse or return items that violate these terms or applicable law, and remove content that does.
4. Storage, pickups, and deliveries
The Depot, storage, pickups and deliveries are not offered yet. When they open, the terms for them are added here. You always keep ownership of everything you catalog and share; Caboodle never takes title to your belongings.
5. Payment
Caboodle is free to use today. Nothing you choose in the app is billed, and we do not collect card details. Some screens show a price for when billing opens, and a sticker pack is placed at no charge until then. Before we charge anything, we add payment terms here and ask you to accept them.
6. Care of your items and liability
Your things stay with you; Caboodle keeps the record of them. The care, insurance and claims terms for items in transit and at the Depot are added when the Depot opens. Contact us promptly if you believe something in your catalog is wrong, and we'll work with you to make it right.
7. Sharing and content
You keep ownership of the photos and details you add. By sharing an item, you grant the people or groups you share with permission to view it within Caboodle. You're responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share it.
8. Cancellation and termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep Caboodle reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, Caboodle is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim under these terms is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Caboodle evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Caboodle after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
